OUR STUDIO:
We are immensely proud of our award winning furnishings studio, and if possible, we highly encourage clients to visit. Our unique Aladdin’s cave of amazing new and ex showhouse furniture, and a tour around the studio is an experience in itself. You are guaranteed to find a piece (or two) that catches your eye, and often can purchase items to take home with you on the day. We can and often do, however, design projects remotely, and are happy to work off plans and photos if you can’t make it here for a cappuccino.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
When you meet our team at our studio, you can enjoy an hour’s free consultation to get a feel for how we work and to discuss your sense of style. Once we’ve got your wish list together, we will then design your home’s interior; from layouts to colour schemes to fabrics to wall coverings to the intricate details that make all the difference; such as luxe curtain tie backs, statement lamps, bespoke silk floral arrangements, hand crafted sculptures and luxury bespoke cushions. Unlike most interior designers, we have a large stock holding of beautiful and striking pieces. This allows us to present some of your proposed items to you in person, so that rather than trying to imagine how things will look from catalogues, you can instead get a real feel of the pieces you will be living with. In addition, we can also produce computer generated mock up images of the finished room designs, to help you really envisage your new space in its entirety and see how it’s all going to come together.
Once you’ve rubber-stamped the design, the really fun part starts. We will curate, collect, deliver, install and dress your home from start to finish. We have six workshops in Scotland producing soft furnishings, including everything from pelmets, curtains and cushions to bespoke upholstered coffee tables, sofas and even grand boutique-hotel-style headboards. What’s more, we can have these items designed, made and delivered to you in a matter of weeks.
NO MIDDLE MAN…
Because we are both the design house and furniture company, there’s no middle man. This has a number of benefits – the first, is the time you will save by using XS Interiors. We design your space down to every last detail, then can deliver and install the entire project in a matter of weeks. We usually don’t have to wait for other companies to manufacture and deliver – it’s all done by us. This level of control has allowed us to turn entire projects around in less than seven days!
Not only does this lack of middle man save you time, it saves you money. With XS Interiors you can benefit from our trade relationships, and can also gain access to our ever growing collection of beautiful ex show house furniture, often with one-off or limited edition pieces. If you dream of a property designed perfectly to your specifications, and with something different to the run of the mill, we’re your guys.
WHY HIRE AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?
Oftentimes, new clients come to us after they’ve tried to manage their project independently and they’ve become overwhelmed with the amount of work involved, coupled with managing their busy lives. They often have a good eye for design and know what they want in their finished project, and so see hiring an interior designer as an extravagance. At XS Interiors, we believe that our role is more than just coming up with good ideas:
OUR FEES EXPLAINED…
Our design fee is £395 per room/zone including VAT. That’s it. There are no hidden charges, and we don’t charge by the hour. We charge an upfront fee for a reason. Most interior design houses will charge by the hour (or minute!) but this creates a distrust between them and their clients. If you have a question, but you know your designer will charge you for calling them, you are less likely to ask it, and thus communication breaks down between you.
At XS Interiors we believe that there is no such thing as a silly question when it comes to your property, and we want you to be as excited and confident about your project as we are. So, we charge a one- off upfront fee, and then work together as closely or as independently as you like. You are in the driving seat.
